Tech professionals often have years - or even decades - of experience working with the systems that run a variety of different technologies. As such, it is no surprise that when speaking to others about their tech craft, they can forget that professionals in other departments don't necessarily have the same background and therefore may not completely understand the terms they use so easily - or why what they're saying is so important for everyone involved.
