Can you imagine this world without people? If you take away people, there’s no life. Life only happens because of and through people. People create life and we are not meant to live this life alone. We are meant to live in communities full of happiness, connection, and support. In the movie “Passenger”, Jim awakens Aurora after his pod malfunctions because he can’t bear the thought of living the rest of his life in isolation. We all need the feeling of inner connection with other human beings. People are the reason that life exists. They should always come first.
There were many things about 2020 that were difficult. The COVID pandemic hit every country and every community, and it has changed the way we think and the way we do things in this world. In March, it was business as usual, and then the pandemic came and forced us to pivot and adjust in many ways. And though I don't want to overlook all the challenges and suffering that this year has brought, when I look back, 2020 was the year that made In Time Tec a more nimble, flexible, and agile company.
Every month we share content that we are reading. This month, we dive into the books that our Operations team has been reading.
At In Time Tec, every decision we make is based off of our values of trust, transparency, integrity, and leadership. Determining company values is the first step in a life-long process. In order for these values to be practiced, they must be clearly defined within the company. Here is how our five founders define our company values.
1. Talk to someone outside the experience.
Saying what you are feeling out loud to an unbiased party can help it feel more manageable. It can also offer some insight you might not be able to see through your emotions.
Adapted from "Discover Yourself as a Leader"
A few months back, the Build ITT Future US Leadership team attended our offsite at a lake-side house in McCall, Idaho. We were full of anticipation knowing the creation that lay ahead of us during the four-day trip. The week was full of long days and beautiful breakthroughs, as our offsites often are.
I have been working with Jeet for almost two years and in that time, I have learned a lot about myself, the world, and connecting with others. When I started at In Time Tec, I thought I was a great leader. I thought I had life all figured out but, like everyone else, I didn’t know what I didn’t know.
